Nutritional Therapy is the practice of healing with real foods and listening to the body's innate intelligence in order to gain knowledge of where support and healing is needed. This is how I was trained and educated and now I am letting this dictate how I educate other families to use real foods to heal. My approach is science based, yet holistically minded. Each of us are bio-chemical individuals but all can greatly benefit from a nutrient dense, properly prepared, diet as a form of medicine that can heal and support good health. My goal is to educate others to not just treat or band-aid illness, disease, injury or chronic health problems, but to find the underlying cause and bring support to the body where it is needed. Staying true to this mantra has proven that our bodies are amazingly capable of restoring balance. Through nutrition consultations, my blog, speaking engagements, pod casts, 30 Day Meal plans, online webinars and my upcoming book, I hope to empower others to use real food and healthy living principals, to achieve life long, vibrant health!
As we walked a cancer journey of our own, we quickly adapted the mentality of living 15 minutes at a time. Living this way is the most beautiful perspective of life. In the middle of our little boy's fight with cancer, I shared that I felt that as a family we were at a place where we had stopped asking God "why." "Why our son? Why us?" Instead, we finally could clearly see the purpose in the journey and the reason we were walking it-to help others and to educate and empower families to help their children thrive and truly heal! Kicker finished treatment for Leukemia on February 6, 2017 and we are praising God for his incredible health!
I am so blessed to call beautiful Northern California home. We love the outdoors and take full advantage of living in an outdoor wonderland. Skiing, hiking, running, paddle boarding, are all actives that my sweet little family of four enjoys almost daily! When I am not working hard, hugging my babies, skiing with my husband, and cooking up a storm, you will likely find me in a dressing room at Nordstrom or drinking a glass of my favorite Pinot Noir.
